Our everyday life is surrounded by highly complex and beautiful geometric patterns, most of which go unnoticed but can be easily found in nature all around us. Flowers, leaves and fruiting trees all produce some of the most highly intricate and delicate geometry. The magnificence of these shapes and mesmerizing symmetry have inspired centuries to pursue elevated thought and understanding. How did these perfectly mathematically balanced, beautiful spirals and patterns manifest? These questions and observations have triggered religious, scientific, and philosophical contemplation by ancient to contemporary civilizations. As a result; theories and theologies have originated, parallels of intellectualism, creativity and spirituality have spawned from nature's own design. A Mandala, a spiritual symbol originating from eastern theologies are a visualization of these observations. Often representing the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically, these intricate creations composed of endless circles and squares perfectly symbolize the harmony and balance in which we exist. Constructed one leaf at a time, this mandala portrays nature’s own perfect symmetry. These photographic compositions skew the line between spirituality and the world we live in.
